Address monitoring allows cryptocurrency investigators to receive an instant notification when a monitored address transacts on a supported blockchain. This is a critical feature when it is anticipated that funds will be moved or “hopped” to additional cryptocurrency addresses. The alerts could lead to illicit funds being frozen if they reach a compliant exchange.

When a monitored address transacts on the blockchain, an email notification will be sent including the date, time, and amount of cryptocurrency sent.
Our Address Monitoring feature was used by an investigator to flag an address used to scam a victim of more than $100,000 in Bitcoin. When the investigator received the transaction alert, he quickly tracked the Bitcoin using CT Pro. The target transferred the funds to Coinbase Exchange, but the investigator was able to submit a freeze order to prevent the target from withdrawing the funds.
